Denver (+2 ½) at Utah – Pick Denver

Denver took Game 1 and then Utah lost center Mehmet Okur lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon. Forward Andrei Kirilenko is already out with a calf injury. Instead of backing down, Utah won Game 2 in Denver 114-111 as six-point ‘dogs.

Utah is a great home team, but Denver knows they let one slip away given the injury situation. The Nuggets have the best player on the court in Carmelo Anthony and they provide very good value here as an underdog in my opinion.

Dallas (+3 ½) at San Antonio – Pick Dallas

This Texas-sized playoff battle is getting heated. Dallas owner Mark Cuban announced to the world that he ‘hates the Spurs,’ only to see his team get embarrassed at home the next game 102-88.

Dallas has been a very good away team at 27-14 straight-up and 26-15 ATS. The series is tied 1-1, so they need to get one win in San Antonio to get home court advantage back. I think they’ll get it, but it’s more likely in Game 4.

Boston (+4) at Miami – Pick Boston

Boston leads the series 2-0, with both games at home. Kevin Garnett was suspended last game for throwing an elbow, and many thought that was Miami’s ticket to victory. Instead, it was a 106-77 massacre.

Miami’s Dwyane Wade isn’t getting a lot of help in this series. If they get swept, is there a better chance he leaves South Beach as a free agent? I don’t think so, but Miami needs this game desperately and should give a good showing.

After a season of ups and downs, the Boston Bruins are finally in the driver’s seat heading into Game 4 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden on Wednesday night.

The Bruins took a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven set with the Sabres with a 2-1 win at the Garden on Monday night. Patrice Bergeron scored the winner midway through the third period for Boston, which cashed as -120 favorites. Dennis Wideman added a goal and an assist for the B’s, while Mike Grier tallied the lone marker for the Sabres.

Buffalo should be without Thomas Vanek (foot, ankle) and Jochen Hecht (finger) on Wednesday night. Vanek is questionable, while Hecht is sidelined indefinitely.

If Boston can manage to get past Buffalo, it could face the top-seeded Washington Capitals in the conference semifinals. The Capitals look to take a 3-1 lead in their first-round series with the Montreal Canadiens when the teams face off at the Bell Centre on Wednesday night.

Washington took down Montreal 5-1 in Monday night’s Game 3, winning as -175 chalk in the process.
